With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alvin Edwin Groover (Ellenton, Florida), born in Palmetto, Florida, who passed away on August 9, 2020 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, B. L. "Pat" and Nora M. Groover; and his brothers, Alton Bennie and Gerald Lewis Groover. He is survived by: his wife Trecia Ann Groover; his children, Chuck (Syble), Rick Groover (Donna) and Karen Pincus (David); his siblings, Jackie Groover, Patricia Dodson (Sam) and Shirley Groover Bryant; and his sisters-in-law, Ann Groover and Martha Groover. He is also survived by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The family is requesting in lieu of flowers that a contribution be made to Palm View First Baptist Church in Palmetto in memory of Mr. Groover.
