She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Addison Lee and Bertha Armstrong; her husband Melvin Smith; and her children, Shirley Smith, Linda VanderKooi, Danny Smith (Karen) of Royston, GA, Betty Stedman of Bradenton and Wynona Rife of Palmetto. She was also cherished by nine grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and one great great grandson.
