She was predeceased by: her parents, William Taylor and Tessie Taylor (Jones); her siblings, Helen, James, John and Isaac; and her children, Brenda and Hasain.
She is survived by: her children, Wafeeq, Mukhtar (Darlene), Omar, Rasheed (Regina) and Sondra. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In the final years of her life, she battled against the ravages of Alzheimer's and dementia, and was in the care of her family at home with the support of hospice.
