She was predeceased by: her parents, William Hillary Burgess, Sr. and Doris Payne Burgess of North Carolina. She is survived by: her brothers, William Hillary, Jr. (Kathleen Burgess), San Marcos, Joseph Michael (Timothy), Richard Alan Burgess (Christy Bartholomew) and Jeffery Peter (Shaun Burgess). She is also survived by nine nieces and nephews, eleven grand nieces and nephews and many cousins.
