He was predeceased by: his parents, Cohen Murphy and Hilda Murphy; his brothers, Forrest and Wilbur Murphy; and his granddaughter Jennifer White.
He is survived by: his wife Fern Murphy; his children, Patricia (Jon Moore), Sandra (Bob Allinson) and Chuck (Theresa Murphy); and his grandchildren, Kristopher (Melody Moore), Aimee Moore and Brandy (Bobby McCostlin). He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
