He was predeceased by: his parents, Brazil Dail Carmichael and Betty Louise Nowling Carmichael. He is survived by: his children, Amanda Mills (Joshua Buckhaulter), Georgia, Jay Carmichael (Whitney) of Eastpoint and Megan Carmichael (Amanda Kimbrel); and his siblings, Michael J. Carmichael (Sherry), John "PeeWee" Carmichael of Eastpoint, Charles Carmichael (Becky), Penny (Peg) and Sutton (Stacy) of Eastpoint. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
