She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Thompson and Alice Thompson; and her brother Junius Thompson. She is survived by: her husband John Thomas Lawrence; her son Wesley Lawrence; her daughter-in-law Michelle Cather; her daughters, Carmen (Ben Suttles), Cassandra (Rahsaan Blackburn), Melissa (Bill Schnitzler III) and Suzanne Lawrence; and her siblings, Harold Thompson and Alice Lewis. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
