He is survived by: his wife Clara Nelms; his son John Nelms (Kathy Cannoy); his grandsons, Gavin Cannoy, Jordyn Nelms, Wesley Nelms, Wyatt Nelms and Colton Nelms; his brothers, Dwight Nelms and Lee Nelms; and his brother-in-law Billy Jack Hughes.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 14th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Village Church of God (6 Coleman Rd, Winter Haven, FL 33880). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
