He is survived by: his wife Delores; his sons, David Gaitanis (Meredith) and Gregory Gaitanis; and his siblings, Robert Gaitanis and Kathryn Richardson (Robert). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to the First Methodist or First Baptist Churches of Dunnellon.
