She was predeceased by: her parents, John McCarty and Pansy McCarty; and her siblings, Zella, Jean, Pearl, LaVaughn, Johnivie, Junior, Russell and Wayne.
She is survived by: her sister Linda McCoy; her children, James Straight (Jean), Judy Taylor (Jim) and Beth Williams (Karl); and her grandchildren, Alicia (Kevin), Carrie, Justin (Jennifer), Sarah, Alex (Karen), Melinda and Shawn (Melissa). She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren, along with nieces, nephews, and many other relatives.
