He is survived by: his wife Linda Simmons Funk of Dunnellon, Florida; his stepchildren, JoAnn Murray, Brooks Fleming of Ashburn, Virginia and Michael Simmons (Michelle) of Tampa, Florida; his grandchildren, Joseph Murray, Melissa Sathmary of Ashburn, Virginia, Harrison, Hannah and Hailey Simmons of Tampa, Florida; his great grandchild Audrey Teeft of Ashburn, Virginia; his brother Clarence Funk (Shirley) of Edinberg; and his niece Michelle Heier.
