He is survived by: his sons, Robert Eugene Hurst and Nathan Christopher Hurst; his close friend Rebecca Lynn Thorpe; his children, Tayler Emily Smith, Carmen Chan, Christina Coghlan and Kyle Smith; his siblings, Howard Charles Hurst, Shelia Diane Sut (Hurst) and Jeffery Allen Hurst; his grandchildren, Clarence Julian Hurst, John Edward Hurst and Julia Elle Hurst; and also Tayler Emily Thorpe.
