She was predeceased by: her parents, Byron Wesley and Rachel Marie Gibson; her sister Kay Shay (Rodney) of St. Francis; and her daughter-in-law Margaret Gardner Ryther. She is survived by: her husband James Peter Ryther; her sisters, Janet Smearman Greenhill of Palatine, Illinois and Roberta Howell (Dennis) of Brandon, Mississippi; and her children, Mary Jo Boldingh (Edwin) of Arlington Heights, Illinois, Janet DeLiso (Vito) of Dunedin, Florida, Margaret MacLean (Brian) of Sausalito, California, Susan Gonzalez (Martin) of Phoenix, Arizona, Robert Ryther (Janet) of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, Carol Schultz (George) of Arlington Heights, Illinois, Ann Dreher (Joseph) of Westlake, Ohio and Katherine Johnson (Jay) of Cheyenne, Wyoming. She is also survived by 31 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
