He was predeceased by: his wife Donna J. Laycox (Reiss); his sister Patricia Rinehart (Laycox); and his sons-in-law, Jack Carothers and William E. Mathews. He is survived by: his children, Dirk Laycox, Dawn Mathews Butler (Richard) and Debra Carothers. He is also survived by six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; two nieces; and two nephews.
