It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James L. Bays of Dowling Park, Florida, born in Harlan, Kentucky, who passed away on November 1, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bays and Ruby Cummins Bays; and his brother Willard. He is survived by: his daughter Donna Thomas (Chris) of Blackshear, GA.; his siblings, Robert Bays of Kentucky, Maryann Williams of Tennessee and Jean Bryant of Ohio; his grandchildren, Matthew Merinsky, Karra Dunn, Christopher Thomas, Jr., Courtney Wright and Jackie Allen; and his great grandchildren, Danielle Thomas, Logan Hall, Donavan Hall, Carlee Thomas and Kayson Thomas. He is also survived by friends and most especially his daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
