He was predeceased by: his parents, William A. Pate, Jr. and Mary Ann Lewis Pate; his sister Rita Pate; and his son Brad Pate. He is survived by: his wife Rhonda Payne Pate; his children, Tony Pate (Glynna), Mica Espey (Carey) and Angie Holzheimer (Kenneth); his grandchildren, Zachary Pate (Haley), Liberty Ellis (Nick), Michael Espey, Harper Espey, Paige Espey, Jonah Holzheimer (Faith) and Ariel Broadley (Connor); his great grandchildren, Emma Grace and Ethan; and his pet Chance.
