It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Louis William Burkart of Destin, Florida, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on September 9, 2022, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Frank Burkart and Antoinette Trapani Burkart; and his brothers, James Burkart and John Burkart. He is survived by: his wife Lori Johnson Burkart; his daughters, Gretchen Burkart Mueller (Eric), Layne Mei Burkart, Leah Li Burkart, Stephanie Adams Morris and Jennifer Adams Basom (Rob); his grandchildren, Brittany Marino (Orrin), Gregory Morris (Kayleigh), Jake Beason, Rebecca Mueller, Halee Morris, Allison Beason, Catie Mueller, Madison Mueller and Cooper Mueller; and his brother Frank Burkart. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (Stjude.org) or Tunnel to Towers (t2t.org) are welcomed.
