With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Newton McCabe Jr. of Destin, Florida, who passed away on January 22, 2023 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Newton McCabe and Frances Watkins McCabe; his brother Joseph Watkins McCabe; and his stepmother Myrtie McCabe. He is survived by: his wife Beth; his children, Scott (Lucy) of Franklin, Tennessee and Kelly (Shawn Evans) of Santa Fe; his siblings, Sam (Sue) of Dothan, Alabama and Marsha Ryan of Athens, Alabama; and his grandchildren, Eleanor, Calder, John and Truman. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital.
