It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Young in Destin, Florida, born in Memphis, Tennessee, who passed away on October 19, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Carl McCurdy and Merle Nelson McCurdy of Pope, Mississippi.; and her husband Dr. William Thomas Young. She is survived by: her children, Dr. Sherry Young of Santa Fe, Steve Young of New Orleans, Melissa Hixson (Walter) of Little Rock and Destin; and her sister Barbara McCurdy Branscome (Guy) of Grenada. She is also survived by four grandsons.
