She was predeceased by: her parents, Philip Fischel and Sarah Jean Bresalier (Levak); her husband Charles "Richard" Smiley; her daughter Melinda Skoller; and her sisters, Shira Avni and Libby Cohen.
She is survived by: her son James I. Smiley (Nancy); her grandchildren, Mallory Carlson (Alex), Madison Skoller, Mackenzie Skoller (Shaked Gofin), Joshua Smiley, Jason Smiley, Brett Smiley and Brendan Smiley; her great grandchildren, Annie and Maggie Carlson; her son-in-law Michael Skoller; and her brother-in-law Mordi Avni. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
