He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. James Allison McOwen and Mary Sumption McOwen; and his brother Keith McOwen. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Stephen Scott McOwen (Sallie) of Cary, NC and Sarah Jane McOwen Vincenzi (Chris) of Kennesaw, GA.; his grandchildren, William, Tom, Sam McOwen, Chandler and Caitlin Vincenzi; and his sisters, Beth McOwen of Charlotte, NC and Pam McOwen Langham (Tom) of Georgetown, TX. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
