It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Diane Patricia Barbata of Delray Beach, Florida, who passed away on December 31, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Diane has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Mockler and Ruth Mockler (Held); her husband Joseph Barbata of Punta Gorda, FL; and her brother Kenneth Mockler of Vero Beach, FL.. She is survived by: her daughter Deborah Peate of Kensington, CT.; her close friend Melissa Ming; her son Thomas Peate Jr. (Rich) of Delray Beach, FL; her brother Lawrence Mockler Jr. of Vero Beach, FL; and her grandson Brandon Peate of Kensington, CT.. She is also survived by several cousins that she was very close with growing up and two nieces from her younger brother, as well as some very close friends.
What made Diane so special was her love to be around others, her sense of humor, and her willingness to help others through donating items, providing emotional support and finding resources.
