He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Earnest and Lucy Earnest; and his granddaughter Sarah. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his brother Ralph; his sons, David (Darla), Timothy (Kimberly) and Joesph (Sarah); his grandchildren, Danielle, Joshua, Devan, Rachel and Rebekah; and his great grandchild Layla.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Samaritan's Purse or William and Mary's church, Immanuel Presbyterian Church.
