She is survived by: her siblings, Louise Dyer Craft, Donald Dyer and Remona Dyer Scott; her husband John W. Smith of Albany; and her children, Cynthia Smith of New York City and Tom Smith of Ponce Inlet, FL..
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a local library in her honor.
