Robert LaPlante Obituary

We are sad to announce that on February 7, 2025, at the age of 91, Robert LaPlante (Deland, Florida) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Robert LaPlante to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore LaPlante and Gladys LaPlante; his grandson Ross LaPlante; and his daughter-in-law Mary Kirlin LaPlante. He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline LaPlante; his brother Richard'Dick'LaPlante; his children, Marcia Sperling (Ric), James (Sara), Robert, Rooney and Chris LaPlante (Merici); his grandchildren, Rory Campbell (Erin), Ryan (Melissa), Sam, Cody LaPlante and Renee Muniz (Sammy); and his great grandchildren, Aria, Alayna and Riley.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Allen-Summerhill Memorial Chapel - DeLand (126 E New York Ave, DeLand, FL 32724). A wake will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Peter Catholic Church (359 New York Ave W, DeLand, FL 32720). A burial will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at the DeLand Memorial Gardens (600 E Beresford Ave, DeLand, FL 32724).
