He is survived by: his mother Elizabeth Durant of Watertown, NY.; his daughters, Destiny Kanger-Durant of Florida, Willa Stooksbury of Florida, Hope Watford of Florida and Hunter Watford of Florida; his siblings, Robert Durant of Rochester, NY, Paul Durant of Bernhards Bay, NY, Teresa Johnson (Durant) of Theresa, NY and Jimmie Cyree; his brother-in-law Rick Bennett of Florida; his grandchildren, Kimberli Smith of Florida, Ryan Smith of Florida, Jase Kanger Jr. of Florida, Bentley Lightfoot of Florida and Gia Jones of Florida; and his nieces and nephews, Ashley McConnell (Ken), Gerald Petty (Elizabeth), Christopher Petty, Tracy Johnson, Coline Schoeb, Sydney Durant, Cassie Bennett, Scott Bennett and Amber Cyree.
A Mass was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Peter Catholic Church (359 New York Ave W, DeLand, FL 32720). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at 1803 Riveredge Dr, Astor, FL 32102.
