She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Roy McGavin and Gertrude McGavin (MacFarlane); her husband Dale Pool; and her daughter Margaret Goldner of Seattle, Washington.. She was also cherished by her 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to be made to the Pleasant Prairie Church, Prairie City, Illinois.
