He was predeceased by: his parents, Salvator Ferrara and Giovanna Ferrara; and his siblings, Anna Ferrara and Salvatore Ferrara II. He is survived by: his children, Rodney Ferrara, Jan Lilly (Stan) and Robin Ferrara; his grandchildren, Samantha Lilly and Cameron Lilly; his wife Peggy; and his sister Mary Ferrara.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Gerard's name to Halifax Health Hospice in Orange City, Florida.
