He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Gmitro and Anna Gmitro (Babyak); and his siblings, Anne Beebe, John Yura, Michael Gmitro, Andrew Gmitro and Peter Gmitro.
He is survived by: his wife Muriel Mulvaney Gmitro; and his children, Muriel Gmitro Kurdsjuk (Jacob), George Michael Gmitro, Sr. (Tracee) and Stephen Patrick Gmitro (Laura). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and 16 nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for memorial donations to be made to the AdventHeath Hospice Foundation.
