He was predeceased by: his parents, Fredrick Riffe and Virginia Riffe; and his siblings, Ralph "Gene" Riffe, Patricia Wade and Lorraine Tiller.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Riffe; his children, Angela O'Dell (Mark), Tammy Thoman (Patrick) and Fredrick Riffe; and his sister Norma LaRose. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
