With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Evelyn L Dixon (Deland, Florida), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 7, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Inez Barber and Fred Barber; and her husband Walter "Zundy" Dixon, Jr.. She is survived by: her son Antonelli Zundy Dixon (Min); her grandsons, Antonelli Dixon Jr. (Deltona), Tiberius Dixon and Markell Dixon; her great grandchildren, Ra'Quan, Tayvion, Tylazha, Markayla, Kavion and Aamir Dixon; her cousins, Martha Moreland, Johnny Wilson and Cynthia Shaw of Albany, GA; and her nieces and nephews, Joycelyn Witts, Anna Andrews, Lana Smith (Los Angeles), Emerson Brown (Miami) and Michael Smith (DeLand). She is also survived by loving relatives, friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the J. E. Cusack Mortuary (727 S Stone St, DeLand, FL 32720). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Greater Union First Baptist Church (240 S Clara Ave, DeLand, FL 32720).
