He was predeceased by : his parents, Nicholas Macchia and Viola Macchia of Liberty, NY; his brother Charles Macchia; his brother-in-law Ronald Napoli; and his nephew Jonathan Harry Gordon of Liberty, NY..

He is survived by : his wife Debra; his children, David Macchia of Albuquerque, NM, Gary Nestel of Los Angeles, CA, Amy Macchia of Albuquerque, NM and Gina Smith (Stephen) of Boston, MA; his grandsons, Kane, Gino Bendler Deltona and Ryan Smith of Boston, MA; his sisters, Star Gordon (Jim) of Liberty, NY and Francine Napoli; his nieces, Stacey Macchia, Julie Behrens (Matthew) and Jessica Napoli of St Louis, MO; and his nephew Jamie Gordon (Dean Macchia) of Liberty, NY.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 8th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Open Bible Church (2179 N Spring Garden Ave, DeLand, FL 32720). A burial will be held on Tuesday, July 9th 2024 at 9:00 AM and at 9:30 AM at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery (5525 US-1, Mims, FL 32754).
