It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Debra Kay Palmer of Deland, Florida, born in Pikeville, Kentucky, who passed away on September 9, 2021, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Paul and Erma Tackett (Blackburn). She is survived by: her daughters, April Palmer-Hubbard (Marshall) and Brandy Shofner; her stepson Ed Palmer (Kim); her mother-in-law Sandra Palmer; her sisters, Illie Thompson (Lyn), Janet Tackett-Weaver and Mary Elizabeth Scarberry; her siblings-in-law, Lana Thornburg (Dennis Thornburg), Bill Palmer (Teresa), Pat Palmer (Helga), Scott Palmer (Shelia) and Kenneth Palmer (Michelle); and her great grandchild Barbara Randolph. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the American Lung Association.
