He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mayo David and Eliza Humphrey Staples; his wife Billye McLean Staples; his daughters, Donna Staples Payne (Jamie) and Devry Staples McGill (Steve) of DeLand, FL; his grandchildren, Zenobia Ayanna Wyche, James and Javon Payne; and his godson Billy Miles Daytona Beach (Helen). He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Greater Union Life Center; NAACP – West Volusia Branch Scholarship fund or Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc Scholarship fund in the name of David H. Staples.
