She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnnie Dukes and Mamie Dukes; and her brother Donald Dukes. She is survived by: her son Lennon Maddox of DeLand, FL.; and her siblings, Diane Freeman, Deirdre Dukes-Perry (Kevin), Denver Dukes-Scott, Du Wayne Dukes of Deltona, FL. and David Dukes.

Due to COVID-19 we will not receive guests at the family home.

“I’m sorry to hear about the passing of Darlene. I will always remember her laughter and sense of humor, We all grew up in the same neighborhood and became one big family. I liked hanging out at the Dukes house because there was always something going on and Darlene used to make the baddest fried egg and bacon sandwiches I ever had and that was long before the MacDonald’s McMuffin came out. We had a lot of great times and I want you to know that I wish you comfort, peace and Love. Creg Kennedy”
