She was predeceased by: her parents, Charley Carraway and Mary Margaret Davis Carraway; and her husband Darby Laird. She is survived by: her children, Scott A. Brock (Charlotte) of Welsh, Louisiana and Sherry A. Gatlin (John) of Tallahassee; and her brother Glenn Carraway (Gail) of Tennessee. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
