With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mahlon Bengston (Defuniak Springs, Florida), who passed away on October 22, 2023 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton Bengston and Artie Edna Nelson Bengston; and his brother Rocky Cosson. He is survived by: the mother of his children Angie Russ of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; his children, Jimmy Peters of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, Lori Jordan (Dwayne) of DeFuniak Springs, Florida and Amanda Bengston (Troy) of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; his grandchildren, Jessie Griffin (George), Jennie Franks, Latisha Sutton (Matt), Loranda Nelson (Kim), Robin Hall, David Hall, Billy Scott, Alyssa Scarbrough, Kolton Bohannon and Adalyn Bohannon; and his siblings, James Bengston, Donnie Bengston (Lori), Mack Bengston, Oscar Bengston, Shirley Ward (Gary), Sarah Cosson, Jenny Johnson (Charles), Linda Joyce Tyler (Jim) and Edna Kendrick (Mike). He is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren.
