It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lena Rushing Godwin (Defuniak Springs, Florida), born in Ponce de Leon, Florida, who passed away on September 7, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Esker and Daisy B. Rushing; and her siblings, Lillie, Thedwell, Theodore, Theopolis, Willie Pearl, Albert, Francis and Donald.
She is survived by: her sister Alice Crobin; her husband Charles Edward Godwin; her sons, Alan (Tammy Godwin) and Cory (Tammy Jo-Shae); and her grandchildren, Callie Jo-Shae Godwin, Cory (Brayden Godwin), Jessica Godwin, Britni Godwin, Elaina Jo-Shae Casey (JoJo), Sophia Godwin, Lena Grace Casey (LuLu), Grayton Casey and Cohen Godwin.
Flowers are welcomed but the family suggests memorials be made in Lena Godwin's memory to Regency Hospice or ones favorite charity.
