He is survived by: his father Earl Thompson; his wife Marie Thompson; his children, James Thompson, Jr., Teresa Thompson and Vincent Davis; and his siblings, Coy Thompson (Sherry), Robert Thompson (Chrissy), Dewayne Simmons, Brenda Morse (Michael), Shannon Yawn, Angel Simmons, Cheri Simmons, Sandra Mitchem, Elizabeth Thompson and Amy Thompson. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins.
