He is survived by: his wife Melissa M. Rathmel; his daughter Gabriella M.; his parents, Gary Stephen Rathmel and Jin Hee Drum (Chin); his siblings, Terry Rathmel (Gail), David Rathmel (Jiyu), Alexander Rathmel, Aaron Rathmel and Denise Tolander; his aunt Cindy Hall; and his parents-in-law, Dale Morse and Kim Morse.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Melissa M. Morse.
