He is survived by: his wife Alma Jones; his children, James, Jerald Jones, Alice Tipton and Annie Bee Hurley; his grandchildren, John Paul Bryan (JP), James David Jones, Joshua Paul Jones, Ashley Leann Hurley, Charlie Andrew Lee Tipton, Allison Danyale Tipton, Jessie Ray Jones, Ryan Tyler Rogers and William Dell Hurley; and his sisters, Linda Faye Boone and Vera May Goodwin. He is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren.
