She was predeceased by: her parents, Buck Robinson and Gladys Tew Robinson; her husband Rotain Carpenter; her children, Marie Sherman and Andy Avant; and her brothers, Richard Robinson, Reamus Robinson and Coleman Robinson.
She is survived by: her son Tim Strickland (Linda) of Tampa; and her daughter-in-law Denise Avant. She is also survived by five grandchildren, one step-granddaughter, ten great-grandchildren, three step great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren.
