He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph McLendon and Laura Frances Rushing McLendon; his wife Sharon Jeanette McLendon; and his siblings, Laura Bell McLendon, Margie McHenry, Sara Ard, John Ferrell McLendon, Edward Lee McLendon and Jimmy Earl McLendon.
He is survived by: his children, Tammi Rae Schofield (Joel) and Billy Ray McLendon II (Christine); his brothers, Ralph Fred McLendon (Mary Lou) and Robert Ronald McLendon (Maralyn); and his grandchildren, Megan Fussell, Noah Mathews, Caleb McLendon, Mercedes McLendon, Lexus McLendon and Gavin Vencil. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
