He is survived by: his daughter Lisa Bender (Scott); his close friend Charlette Seley; his grandchildren, Jodi Kauffman (Andrew), Rayley Bender, Crystal Johnson and Justin Byrd; and his siblings, Leodis Anderson, Earl Byrd and Tommy Byrd.
