It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jean Collinsworth of Defuniak Springs, Florida, born in Cottondale, Florida, who passed away on November 14, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Otto Collinsworth; and her siblings, Della Mae Chandler, Curtis Harper, Lottie Parziale, Virginia Graves and Deward Harper.
She is survived by: her children, Tim Collinsworth (Donna) of Pensacola, FL, Julie Richardson (Barry) of Brevard, NC, Karen Borel (Ray) of Panama City, FL and Laura Herbert Spycia (Greg) of Asheville, NC; her grandchildren, Jeremy Richardson, Jason Richardson (Elisha), Traci Naff (David), Amber Collinsworth, Amilea Sork (Jared) and Celeste Borel; and her great grandchildren, Mia, Josiah Richardson and Collier Naff.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home (1474 FL-83, Defuniak Springs, FL 32433). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Gaskin Cemetery.
