He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Earl McCartt and Cindy McCartt; his children, David McCartt and Carol Ann Lancer; his brother Sam McCartt; his wife Josephine "Josey" McCartt; his children, Jeff McCartt, Linda Russell and Barbara McDaniels; his grandchildren, Amanda and James Raymond Hellums; and his great grandchildren, Christine and Abby Hellums.
