He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Clayton and Beulah Collingsworth Alford; his grandsons, Lucas and Logan Alford; and his siblings, Angus, Grady Alford, Mary Spears and Essie Summerlin.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Alford of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; and his children, Lewis Wayne Alford of DeFuniak Springs, Brendan O'Neal of New York, Brenda Odom (Jay) of Moore Haven, Jami Burke (Mike) of Bunker Creek and Stacey Knight (Jamie) of Darlington, Florida. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
