He is survived by: his wife Shirley M. Burkett; his sons, Terry Burkett (Patti) and Danny Baker (Cheryl); his son-in-law Steve Stephenson; his daughter Sherry Thomas (Andy); and his grandchildren, Corey Stephenson, Steven Stephenson (Tanya), Natji Baker, Haken Baker (Amy), Tyler Thomas (Kelcie), Christy Newton (Dick), April Ivey, Ashley Burkett (Cody Johnston), Jessica Burcham (Jimmy), Callan Burkett and Lori Glover (Brandon). He is also survived by 20 Great Grandchildren.
