He was predeceased by: his parents, Theron Kingsel Capps, Sr. and Katherine Hamby Capps. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Capps; his daughters, Debi Bell (Roger) and Trina Hoyle (Hans); his grandchildren, Haley Parham, Erin Bell, Kayla Hoyle and Dane Hoyle; his great grandchildren, Veda Hoyle and Gauge Scronce; his sisters, Jean Orr, Nancy Holsclaw and Sandra Huff (Troy); and his siblings-in-law, Jeanette Hefner, Doris Bullard (Danny) and Ted Icard. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
