With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Lenart (Port Reading, New Jersey), who passed away on March 5, 2021 at the age of 79.

God saw that you were tired wanted you to rest , so he opened his arms and brought you home on March 5, 2021.

John Lenart of Deerfield Beach, Florida and formally of Toms River, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at the age of 79.

He was a loving husband to Jean, the love of his life, father to John III (Monica) and grandfather to John IV, Jamie and Will. Father to Janine and her family. Stepfather to Brian and Jared Myers.

John grew up in Carteret, N J, where he graduated from St. Mary’s High School. He went into the Insurance field and eventually opened a successful Insurance business. After living in New Jersey for so many years, he and Jean moved to Florida where they enjoyed many happy years together. John’s life was filled with Cooking, Boating, Cruising, watching NY Giants and always loved meeting new people. He lived life to the fullest. He leaves behind countless friends and memories. He will dearly be missed and in our hearts forever.

Family and friends are invited for visitation beginning at 10am on Monday, March 15, 2021 at GERITY & CHUBENKO FUNERAL HOME, 411 Amboy Avenue, Woodbridge with a Catholic Prayer service at 12 noon. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia.

In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to Shriners Hospital for Children in Tampa , Florida in his memory.
